Lunch with fin - your fishmonger at the Empire State Plaza reflecting pools each Wednesday and Friday through mid-October. Chef Rob Handel prepares lobster rolls, sweet potato salmon burgers, crab cakes, mahi fish tacos and Korean BBQ salmon tacos in this stunning outdoor setting, making your lunch break all the more enjoyable. Enjoy fresh seafood for sale as well, to take home for dinner that night or later in the week. FYI: All vendors have been moved to the other side of the reflecting pools this year due to roofing work on the Egg. Stroll the grounds (indoors and out) to take in the modern art, as well...the largest collection of modern art outside of Manhattan.

Chef Rob Handel works his creative magic with the rich bounty of our area paired with fin's fresh, sustainable seaood to present you with an amazing dining experience, right here in our sweet little shop. Caldeirada (fisherman's stew), Portuguese summer salad, Bacalhoada stew (salt cod stew),and pastel de belem (sweet egg tarts).
These classic dishes will be expertly prepared by Rob while he provides you with detailed instruction so that you can recreate the dishes at home. You'll be delighted by Rob's stories about cooking, forgaging and fermenting, his areas of particular expertise. Maybe he'll even tell you what long-term projects he's up to on the shelves in the fin walk-in cooler!
